Welcome to the website of DFW Working Dogs. We are based in Dallas, Texas. We are a social club formed to train and title dogs in the sport of Schutzhund. We also have a sister club, DFW Malinois Club which is a member of the AWMA.

DFW Working Dogs is a club organized to promote and compete in the sport of Schutzhund/IPO/IGP. However, over the years, members of our club have also competed in other activities including conformation, DPO, PSA, French Ring, Mondio Ring, AKC Obedience, Agility, and Tracking, as well as specialized breed sports such as Weight Pull and Catch Dog events. Our club membership has routinely consisted of a great variety of dogs including German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Rottweilers, Dutch Shepherds, American Bulldogs, and even a Golden Retriever (but he only bit things with feathers). We've also had some dogs go on to become working Police K-9s. While doing all of this we have many members qualify for National and World events such as FCI, WUSV and IFR.

The key to the Club, as with most Schutzhund clubs, is a knowledgeable and experienced training director. Randall Hoadley, having competed and worked as a decoy at the national level, brings a wealth of both attributes to the Club. Throughout its short history, the club has produced numerous High-in-Trial and High-in-Protection scores and many members who have competed at the National level with their Handler Owned and Trained (HOT) dogs.

Along with varying degrees of experience, our members also specialize and support all different training methods. Among our members, we have accomplished clicker trainers to those experienced with the latest techniques of using electric collars and everything in between. We do not believe in only one training method - we tailor and support training programs that best suit the individual dog and handler.

At DFW Working Dogs, we are proud of our members for competing, supporting, and helping their sport and their organizations to succeed with actions as well as words.
